How is player safety being addressed in NCAA Football?

Player safety has become a top priority in NCAA Football, especially with growing concerns around concussions and long-term health impacts. Rule changes, such as targeting penalties and restrictions on blindside blocks, aim to reduce the risk of head injuries. Additionally, advancements in helmet technology and mandatory concussion protocols have been implemented across college programs. Despite these efforts, debates continue about the long-term effects of repeated collisions and whether more drastic changes, like reducing contact practices, are needed to further protect student-athletes.
